Navy War Grow Your Navy Economy
Factories print the war. Docks and shipyards only spend it.
Every Navy War session is an argument between three buildings the developers named in the how-to-play list: factories, docks, and shipyards. Players remember the warships. Servers are won by the admiral whose factories still tick after a sunk Cruiser. This guide is the money page. Pair it with the building tier list and the base roster.
Factories are the engine
The official description says to grow your economy and upgrade factories. That is not flavor text. In a strategy base-builder, production buildings are the only thing that works while you are in Shop, in PvP, or AFK for a minute. If you can only upgrade one structure after redeeming codes, upgrade a factory.
A useful test: if sinking your best hull would put you in a ten-minute hole, your factory rank is too low for the fleet you are floating. Drop back a class, as the ship tier list suggests, until replacements are boring.
Docks are capacity, not income
Docks are where the fleet exists. Upgrading them matters when hulls are queuing or when you cannot launch a screen and a capital ship at the same time. Upgrading them first is a common stall - you build parking for ships you cannot afford. Rule of thumb from the getting started order: docks right after factories, not before.
If you are losing islands because you can only sortie one Destroyer, that is a dock (or shipyard) problem. If you are losing because you never have cash, that is still factories.
Shipyards are time
Shipyards turn money into hulls. When the next class on the official ladder - Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship, Submarine, Aircraft Carrier - is visible but painfully slow, the shipyard is the bottleneck. Do not max shipyard while factories are starving; you will produce one beautiful Battleship and then stare at it.
Gems should hit shipyards when you are already income-positive and the next class is the actual blocker. Otherwise Gems belong in factories. The Gem guide repeats this on purpose.
A simple income cadence
- Redeem Shop codes so the Gem counter is honest.
- Buy the cheapest factory rank that changes the per-minute feel.
- Play two minutes of actual income. If the number is still painful, buy another factory rank instead of a hull.
- Unlock or berth a Destroyer.
- Repeat factory ->dock/shipyard ->hull. Never hull ->hope.
This is the mixed playstyle from how to play. It is slower than a YouTube rush and faster than bankruptcy.
Islands, raids, and why economy is PvP
Code-site write-ups describe sending strength to conquer other islands. On a six-player map that means your factories are a target. A Submarine raid on a dock is an economy attack. Leaving zero screen at home to chase a kill is how wealthy bases become poor.
Budget a home guard: at least one Destroyer or Cruiser that does not leave the harbor unless the whole lobby is on the other side of the map. The PvP guide covers the fleet side of that decision.
Spending Gems without griefing yourself
KRAKEN, ADMIRALS, and DIAMONDZ total 150 Gems if all three still work. That is an early factory stack or a lock skip, not a carrier. Spend them:
- On the building that is currently blocking the cadence above.
- After you know which class you will unlock next (see warships).
- Never on panic replacements the moment you sink. Rebuild with income; Gems are a multiplier, not a bandage.
If the Shop later adds passes or packs, treat Robux the same way. Parabola MMOVEMENT has not published a public pass list we can verify through the unauthenticated API, so we will not invent one. Buy only what the live Shop labels clearly.
When to stop feeding factories
Stop stacking production when:
- You can replace your main hull without thinking.
- Dock space, not cash, is the reason ships sit idle.
- The lobby is about to end and you still have no capital punch.
Then dump into shipyard and the next class. Economy is a means. The ocean is the point. Use the fleet planner if you want the cadence as a checklist you can keep next to the HUD.
Navy War’s own pitch is that you can win as a banker, a warlord, or a mix. Bankers who never launch still lose docks. Warlords who never print still lose the session. Print, then launch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Navy War questions.
What is the most important building in Navy War?
Factories. They fund docks, shipyards, and every hull on the ladder.
Should I upgrade docks or factories first?
Factories first, docks once you have hulls waiting for space.
Are Gems part of the economy?
Yes, as a burst. Redeem codes then spend Gems on the current bottleneck, usually factories.
Why am I always broke after building a Battleship?
The hull cost outran factory rank. Drop down a class and rebuild income before the next capital ship.
