Getting Started in Navy War
Stand up a base, claim Gems, and put a Destroyer on the water before the lobby outscales you.
Navy War throws a full naval base at you on a six-player Roblox server. The official how-to-play list is short on purpose: build the base, grow the economy, upgrade docks, shipyards, and factories, then unlock warships and fight. This page turns that list into a first-hour order so you do not spend Gems on a hull you cannot support.
This is the 2026 Parabola MMOVEMENT game, not Vanity Studio’s Navy War Tycoon. There is no nation-select oil-rig king-of-the-hill here. You are raising a fleet from a personal yard and then sharing an ocean.
Minute 0-10: HUD, favorite, codes
Launch from the Roblox place. Favorite it. Enable experience notifications so you catch [UPD] titles like the 31 August 2026 patch. Look left: Shop is where codes live. Redeem KRAKEN, ADMIRALS, and DIAMONDZ using the redeem steps before you tap a single upgrade. 150 Gems is a weak late-game flex and a strong early factory push.
Do not open PvP yet. Walk the base. Identify the three named production buildings from the official description:
- Factories make the economy grow.
- Docks are where hulls live and launch.
- Shipyards are where hulls get built and, in most naval tycoon-likes, upgraded.
If a tutorial arrow exists, follow it until those three are producing. If it does not, treat factories as the first click. A dock with no income is a postcard.
Minute 10-25: income before glory
The game’s own marketing offers three playstyles: a wealthy advanced naval base, the strongest fleet, or a balance. New players who pick “strongest fleet” first stall. They park a pretty Destroyer and then watch someone else’s factory stack buy a Cruiser.
Follow this spend order unless a patch note says otherwise (check updates):
- Upgrade factories until income feels automatic even while you are in the Shop.
- Upgrade docks so you can actually berth more than one hull.
- Upgrade shipyards so the next class is not a 20-minute wait.
- Build a Destroyer. It is the advertised entry warship for a reason.
- Only then look at Cruisers.
Details for each building sit on the base page. Role ranks sit on the building tier list. If you want a printable order, steal the early-game block from the fleet planner.
Minute 25-45: first fleet, first island
Once a Destroyer is wet, do not send it alone across the map. Six-player servers punish isolated hulls. Scout, then fight with the PvP guide in mind: screen with Destroyers, do not volunteer them as Battleship food.
Unlock order from the official roster:
- Destroyer - screen, early contest.
- Cruiser - the mid-game workhorse.
- Submarine - if you need to raid income or sneak a dock.
- Battleship - when factories can replace it if it sinks.
- Aircraft Carrier - last, because a carrier without a screen is a pinata.
Class roles are expanded on the warships page and ranked on the ship tier list. We are ranking jobs, not fake named hulls the API has not listed.
Controls and camera
Navy War is a strategy title with an R15 avatar. Expect standard Roblox movement around the base and click-to-manage for buildings and ships. There is no published keybind bible from the developer. If a control feels missing, check Settings in-experience and the how to play page rather than a Naval Warfare Remastered video. Those games are first-person ship combat with gamepass carriers; this one is a base-plus-fleet strategy loop.
Voice chat is listed as not supported on the live place. Coordinate with friends in Discord (Fleet HQ link on more codes) or Roblox text.
First-hour mistakes
- Redeeming codes after you already spent Robux on the wrong pack. Redeem first.
- Buying a Battleship while factories are rank one.
- Ignoring docks so finished ships have nowhere to sit.
- Treating Submarines as a starter hull.
- Leaving the session without favoriting, then losing the place in search among the older Navy War Tycoon results.
When the hour is up you should have: codes claimed, factories ticking, a dock that holds more than a toy boat, and at least one Destroyer you are willing to lose. Everything after that is the economy loop and the tier list.
If something in the live game disagrees with this order, trust the live buildings and send a bug to the Roblox community as the place description asks. Then come back and we will patch the wiki, not the other way around.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Navy War questions.
What should I upgrade first in Navy War?
Factories for income, then docks and shipyards, then a Destroyer. Capital ships wait until cash is stable.
Should I redeem codes before playing?
Yes. Claim working codes in Shop before you spend Gems on the first upgrade.
Is Navy War a tycoon?
It is a strategy naval base-builder with PvP. It is not Navy War Tycoon by Vanity Studio.
How many players are in a server?
Six. Plan fights as if other admirals can reach your docks.
